Healthcare and Nutrition program:

Mother and infant healthcare:

Family planning: 3091 families received family planning awareness (incomplete)

Nutrition: 881 children received 9,150 pustikona. 1838 pregnant women received 25,600 capsule (iron, folic acid and zinc) and 31,220 stomach worm tablets. 162 people calcium 3080 units distributed. 922 pregnant and new mothers received healthcare.

Diabetics: 2958 people in rural communities received awareness about diabetes and got free diabetes test.

Healthcare card: Every khana can issue healthcare cards ones a year for tk 100. Upon expiry of the healthcare card, a  new card can be issued for tk 100. The following benefits are provided for the card usage:

  1. Route health checkups free at cost at Alternative Development Initiative’s static clinic.
  2. every week satellite clinic M.B.B.S doctor and 3 times a week in health camps by doctors and medical practitioners free for all members of the family
  3. Free stomach worm medicine, calcium, Iron and Vitamin tablets for every member of the family
  4. Blind patients free glaucoma operation
  5. 24 hours medical advice over phone

In 2016-2017, 1911 families bought healthcare cards. Till now 1797 cards have been renewed and 3496 new cards have been issued.

Khanas: (incomplete)

Static Clinic:  In Alternative Development Initiative’s Enrich office medical practitioners’ pregnant women care, blood pressure, fever, Amasha, Diarrhea, Diabetes checkup and cure common illnesses and receive awareness. Till now 802 static clinics offered medical services to over 5589 patients.

Satellite clinic: by the demand of the rural patients, in different villages of various unions, weekly satellite clinics were implemented. Treated by MBBS doctors. Works closely with Narail govt. hospital doctors offer assistance. in the FY 2016-2017, 48 satellite clinics treated 1809 patients. Till date 172 Satellite clinics are operational and over there 5617 patients are treated.

Specialized health camps: Every 3 months with MBBS doctors treat patients in health camps. In FY 2016-2017, 4 specialized health camps (Medicine, gynecologist and ENT) total 681 patients and till date 16 health camps treated 2217 patients.

Free eye check-up: In FY 2014-2015, 10 patients and later in 3 FY’s (2015-2016, 2016-2017 and 2017-2018) 60 patients , in one union a total of 70 patients received free glaucoma operations by certified specialized doctors.
